FU MANCHU, AMENRA AND CIRCLE JERKS AMONG THE FIRST 14 CONFIRMED FOR SONIC BLAST FEST 2025

The 13th edition of Sonic Blast Fest returns to Praia da Duna dos Caldeirões, in Âncora, from August 7 to 9 and now confirms the first 14 names on the 2025 line-up.

The first batch of confirmed artists are: Fu Manchu, Amenra, Circle Jerks, Earthless, Emma Ruth Rundle, My Sleeping Karma, Dopethrone, Slomosa, Jjuujjuu, Patriarchy, Gnome, Same Area, Daevar e Spoon Benders.

The Californians FuManchu headline the first announcement of Sonic Blast Fest, a mythical band from the American stoner rock scene of the 90s who are still active and releasing important records within the genre, proof of which is this year's latest album The Return of Tomorrow. The band's lyrics are all inspired by topics such as arcades, 70s muscle cars, myths and UFOs.

Another major factor in this announcement is the Amenra, a Belgian post-metal band from Kortrijk who promise a breathtaking experience of communion through Âncora, an almost experience of faith, with albums such as Alive, the Mass and the most recent De Doorn in their luggage.

Punk continues to be a SonicBlastFest and this first ad couldn't be better represented than by the CircleJerks, a '79 band from Hermosa Beach in California (USA), considered one of the pioneers of hardcore punk with albums like Group Sex e Wild in the Streets. Simple and fast themes, songs with minimal lengths, on average just over a minute, promise to raise the tempo in Âncora and take the audience on a journey through the musical satire of American punk.

Also in this announcement we have a continuous bet on the most diverse genres that fit into a festival like Sonic Blast Fest in 2025: the Earthlessplaying the SonicPrayer in its entirety, the guitar and poetry of EmmaRuthRundle, the hypnotic journeys of the Germans MySleepingKarma, the sludge metal of Canadians Dopethrone, rock straight out of the Norwegian tundra of the Slomosathe verve of the emerging psychedelia of the Jjuujjuu which will pass through Primavera Sound Barcelona before docking at SonicBlastthe LA band, the Patriarchy, which combine pulsating dance electronics with crushing industrial vibes and suffocating noise, among many others.

Garboyl Lives - promoter and organizer of the festival - has announced the festival for August 7, 8 and 9, 2025. The warm-up day will take place on the 6th. The venue thus continues to combine several of the experiences that have already become an elementary part of every Sonic Blast Festbeach, countryside, river, pine forest and riffs, many, many riffs.

General passes are available now, and the early bird price is already sold out.

The 2024 edition was the first in Âncora to sell out all types of passes (general and daily), with more than 15,000 people on site over the three days of the festival. In addition to these figures, there were nearly 3,000 tickets on the warm-up and fan reception day.
