DEAD KENNEDYS return to Portugal in 2025 for two concerts in Lisbon and Porto

Hell Xis is proud to present the return to Portugal of the legendary Dead Kennedys for a double dose of punk in June 2025.

Formed in 1978 in San Francisco, California, the Dead Kennedys are easily identified as one of the most important and iconic names in the history of punk worldwide.
From the band's name to their attitude on and off stage, the Dead Kennedys have always been a source of controversy. In their first period of activity, between 1978 and 1986, the band released four albums that became landmarks and defined a style, full of irreverent anthems, always putting the "finger on the pulse" and generating controversy. Musically unmistakable and with lyrics that are always corrosive, the Dead Kennedys' songs are generally of a social and political nature, satirizing various public and powerful figures, established institutions and authorities in general, as well as popular culture and all the dirt of society, with themes that, unfortunately, are still so topical four decades later.

This set of factors generated a cult phenomenon around them, which is still very much alive today. After several years of hiatus, the band returned to activity at the beginning of the 2000s with some changes in line-up, but maintaining the maximum intensity of their performances. In 2025, the band announced a tour that will take in Portugal for two concerts that are expected to be intense to say the least, with founding members East Bay Ray and Klaus Flouride at the helm and vocalist Ron "Skip" Greer (ex-Wynona Riders), who has been singing Dead Kennedys classics since 2008. Unmissable and historic.
