One of Brazil's leading extreme metal bands is back. Drowned from Minas Gerais have just released their eighth studio album entitled Recipe of Hate.
The band, which has been on the road for almost thirty years, presents this new album with the return of the original line-up, something that hasn't happened since the band's second album in 2003. And this aura of affection has worked very well, Recipe of Hate is a violent and necessary stoner, with strong lyrics and full of fundamental criticisms of the political and social scenario that Brazil has been experiencing, combined with the weight and aggressiveness already known to the miners, we have here a fabulous work by Drowned.
We are faced with nine intense songs, spread over just over thirty minutes of great intensity, cohesion and everything very well produced, certainly one of the best works of 2022.
For any thrash or death metal fan with good taste, Recipe of Hate is a must-have album, long live Drowned.
