Rock Believer is the nineteenth studio album by one of the leading heavy metal bands in history, the German Scorpions.
This is the first studio album by drummer Mikkey Dee (ex Motorhead, ex King Diamond), which marks the return of the Scorpions after seven long years since Return to Forever was released in 2015.
Rock Believer features eleven tracks and four bonus tracks with an energy and weight that I haven't felt in a long time when listening to a new album by the Germans. The first thing that struck me was the number of riffs and solos that stick in your head, credit to the duo Rudolf Schenker and Matthias Jabs, another important point is Klaus Meine's impeccable vocals, which continue to captivate and thrill. All this, combined with the powerful energy that Mikkey Dee has brought to the band, is the result of an album of Scorpions' level, the best since the long-ago Unbreakable, released in 2004.
Here we have real stoners like Gas In the Tank, Knock' Dead, Rock Believer, Seventh Sun, songs that could easily have become hits in times when radio stations played quality music, proving that the band is going through a very intense creative moment.
For those of you who are still waiting for a new In Trance, Virgin Killer or Lovedrive, sit down and cry. Rock Believer is a great album from a band that has been around for over fifty years and continues to deliver incredible concerts and unreleased material of the highest quality.
