Jesus the Snake

The opening act was Jesus the Snake, a quartet from the north of Portugal, more precisely from Vizela, who have been on the road since mid-2016. Presenting psychedelic rock of a very high standard that took us back to the golden moments of Pink Floyd with Syd Barret, with captivating keyboard and synthesizer work, creating a very interesting atmosphere and the fact that it was 100% instrumental contributed greatly to this positive experience. The Lav was already full to the rafters, applauding the Portuguese band's great and contemplative concert.

All Them Witches

Straight from Nashville for two dates in Portugal, one at Lisboa Ao Vivo and the other at Hard Club, the band All Them Witches brought their powerful stoner music and turned Lisboa Ao Vivo into a real sauna, the only thing missing was the eucalyptus.

Last Sunday, June 23, we found ourselves in room 2 of the LAV in a packed atmosphere, cheered on by a full house the quartet formed by guitarist Ben McLeod, vocalist and bassist Charles Michael Parks, drummer Christian Powers and keyboardist Allan Van Cleave, clearly another band from the one that opened for Ghost in a distant 2019 at the Sala Tejo before the pandemic. The maturity, cohesion and confidence that All Them Witches has gained over the last five years is impressive. These are several characteristics that have catapulted the band into one of the most interesting on the current scene, whether working in the studios or on stage with all the intensity and wit they display.

Destaques para as musicas “When God Comes Back”, “Charles William” cantada a plenos pulmões por vários presentes, “Fishbelly 86 Onions” e “Mountain” um clássico do álbum Lightning At the Door lançado em 2016 , que alias contou com mais 3 musicas no concerto. Poder terminar o domingo e começar a segunda-feira até porque o show passou da meia noite , foi um privilegio para muitos que estiveram no Lav , para começar uma semana de rotina fugindo um pouco dela.
