WINGER + YELLOW DOG CONSPIRACY at LAV - Lisboa Live

On June 13, St. Anthony's Day, in the midst of the Santos Populares celebrations, the celebrated hard rock band Winger landed in Portugal for the first time.

In charge of warming up the engines for Winger, the Lisbon band Yellow Dog Conspiracy did their job with flying colors, starting with the brutal intensity of lead singer Vice, who kept the audience's attention throughout the concert, accompanied by the fabulous musicians who, by the way, put on a show of their own, the quality of Luiz Arantes with his impressive solos and riffs captivated any hard rock fan who arrived early.

Songs such as Hello My Friend, Cocaine to the Vein, Somebody Else and the most recent single Dumb And Blind drew applause and support from the vast majority who had already settled into the LAV and handed it over on a plate to Winger.

Com um pouco ou quase nada de atraso a banda norte-americana capitaneada pelo baixista e vocalista Kip Winger subiu ao palco do LAV as 21:50 , acompanhado pelo guitarrista Reb Beach, o baterista Ron Morgenstein, o teclista Paul Taylor e, no lugar de John Roth, Simon Howie na guitarra. Abrindo com “Stick The Knife In And Twist” uma musica de seu trabalho mais recente o álbum Seven lançado em 2023 , o quinteto emendou logo em seguida verdadeiros clássicos como “Seventeen” e “Can’t Get Enuff” que tocaram gasolina em um publico que deveria ser maior no feriado de Lisboa.

O carisma e o entrosamento no palco deixa a impressão que estamos diante de uma banda realizada, a vontade e se divertindo acima de tudo. Durante todo o momento os músicos interagiam entre eles fazendo brincadeiras internas e tirando vários sorrisos entre eles. Enquanto isso hits como “Hungry” e a balada “Miles Away” eram cantadas a pleno pulmões pelo publico presente.

Já na reta final a banda com o jogo ganho ainda rolou “Easy Come Easy Go” e “Madaleine” para arrebatar e comprovar que a estreia absoluta do Winger não foi um amigável , foi um jogo duro, intenso e que eles ganharam de goleada, que não demorem outra eternidade para dar as caras por Portugal.
