KORN confirmed as headliners for EVILLIVƎ FESTIVAL 2025

The nu-metal legends revolutionized heavy music in the 90s and, more than three decades after taking their first steps, they bring their unmistakable sound to EVILLIVƎ FESTIVAL

Lisbon once again plays host to one of the biggest heavy music events in Europe, with the EVILLIVƎ FESTIVAL to return on June 27, 28 and 29, 2025. For the first time outdoors, the festival will take place in Lisbon's iconic Restelo Stadium, promising a unique experience capable of uniting several generations of fans in a celebration of rock and metal. Following confirmation of the presence of JUDAS PRIEST e SLIPKNOT, the organization now reveals that the legendary KORN are the third headliners of this edition.

Formed in 1993 in Bakersfield, California, the Americans KORN são frequentemente considerados pioneiros do nu-metal. O grupo foi fundado por Brian “Head” Welch, James “Munky” Shaffer, Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu, David Silveria e Jonathan Davis, que trouxe para o universo da música de peso uma voz distinta e uma abordagem lírica introspetiva e visceral, pouco comum no género. Combinando elementos de metal, hip-hop e rock alternativo, a banda destacou-se desde cedo pelo uso de guitarras de sete cordas, baixos graves e letras que abordam temas como trauma, alienação e luta pessoal.

Their eponymous debut album, released in 1994, presented an innovative and raw sound, but it was with "Follow The Leader" and "Issues" that the quintet achieved worldwide success, with multi-million sales and such iconic songs as "Freak On A Leash" and "Falling Away From Me". Famous for the energy they inject into their performances, the KORN helped shape the heavy sound of the late 90s and early 2000s, eventually influencing a whole generation of musicians. Despite the line-up changes they have undergone over the years, including the departure of Arvizu and Silveria, they have always remained active and relevant, and with over 40 million records sold, they continue to explore new sounds, consolidating their legacy in the world of rock and metal.

With a poster that already brings together three of the biggest names in heavy music, the EVILLIVƎ FESTIVAL 2025 consolidates the event as a benchmark on the European circuit, extending its offer to all generations of fans.
