ALESTORM: New EP ‘Voyage of the Dead Marauder’ released March 2024

Today heralds the launch of pre-orders for Alestorm’s much-anticipated EP, “Voyage of the Dead Marauder,” set for release on March 22, 2024, through Napalm Records. Coinciding with the announcement of their namesake North American headline tour, which sets sail on March 19 in Cincinnati, OH, and boasts support from Elvenking and Glyph, fans can now secure their copy of Alestorm’s latest swashbuckling adventures in a variety of special LP and CD formats.

This new EP, charting a course as the successor to Alestorm’s seventh studio juggernaut, “Seventh Rum of a Seventh Rum,” which triumphantly docked at #7 on the German Album charts and #5 on both the US Current Hard Music and Top New Artist Albums charts, sees the return of their collaboration with esteemed producer Lasse Lammert of LSD-Studios. Lammert’s expertise, having previously worked with luminaries like Gloryhammer and Wind Rose, ensures the EP’s production, recording, mixing, and mastering are nothing short of legendary.

Chris Bowes, Alestorm’s captain, shares his thoughts: “Ahoy! We grew weary of the same old tunes, so we charted a new course with this EP, inspired, between you and me, by frogs. We’re hoping you have a soft spot for frogs too. We’re over the moon to feature Patty Gurdy on the title track; her exceptional vocals and hurdy-gurdy skills add a magical layer to Alestorm’s sound, a refreshing change from my dreadful singing. Yarrrr!”
